Turbo charge your hobby with BEER and COFFEE!!!

http://www.lifehack.org/articles/lifestyle/how-beer-and-coffee-affect-your-brain.html

I've always avoided drinking while doing any modeling ..which may have been self defeating. I love creating new conversions, though my time has been a bit short lately. Reading this article has been very illuminating, so I thought I'd share it with the class.

I am now going to build armies while having a beer or two. This should help spark up the creative process, and give me a cool looking army.

Time to paint? Put on a pot of java! Though if it's later in the day I tend to go with green tea.

Pics from Games Day Italy, WHOAH!!!

Thanks to L'Apostropate, we have some pics from the Italian Games Day. I just heard my wallet screech in terror!

Eternal Crusade Forums are open!

For those of you who don't know, Eternal Crusade is the Warhammer 40K MMO in development. From what I've seen, lots is going to be put into this and the director is CRAZY about 40K. Apparently this will be in the vein of Planetside 2 but BIGGER. Huge battlefields...I'm kinda jazzed.

WAAAGH da Flash Gitz!

I'm on a Night Lords Train

I've been reading the Horus Heresy books from Forge World, and I've got Night Lords on the brain again. I have a few that I built True Scale, I might pick up where I left off.

One of the things that held me back since 2004 from starting a Night Lords army is the paint scheme. I didn't want it to be blue...I wanted it to be black, with a tint of midnight. I recently went over a friend of mines to see him airbrush in action, and I think I've got a plan.

I'm going to start off small, just some allies for now...

Musings: Eternal Warrior as standard?

ETERNAL WARRIOR
If war is eternal, so too must be the heroes who fight it. Such mighty champions refuse to be laid low, even by what would be mortal
wounds to lesser warriors.

A model with this special rule is immune to the effects of Instant Death

I often times find myself being real careful with my HQ's. These guys should be the heroes though, leading the charge and being seen on the battlefield barking out orders. Not hiding out of line of sight in the back of your deployment zone so you don't give away First Blood and/or a Warlord kill.

I kinda feel that if you are taking an HQ, that Eternal Warrior should be a part of the Independent Character rules. What do you guys think?

I know what I want under the Turkey Tree for Tanksgiving!

LEGION SICARAN BATTLE TANK

This tank looks so good I almost couldn't care less about the rules...but they are good! Natfka talks about them over on Faeit, quoted below:

With the Horus Heresy Book 2 just around the corner, one tank stands out immediately to me, and that of course is the Legion Sicaran Battle Tank. It comes with the awesome Accelerator Autocannon, and can be upgraded to take along two lascannon sponsons for a marginal upgrade in points.

So what makes this tank great?, Its cheap, and the Accelerator Autocannon will just shred. Its a 48" S7 AP4 heavy 6, Rending, with rapid tracking (ignores jink saves). While its cheap without any upgrades, the tank compares closely to the predator with all lascannons. Hey did I mention the Accelerator Cannon turret is twin-linked?

In a few days, this is one of the tanks to be looking at. And dont forget to do just that, It is an amazing looking tank.
